Option 1: You get 600g of clay (enough to sculpt two mugs or a bigger bowl) and we paint it in one monotone colour for you afterwards.

Option 2: You get 300g of clay — enough to sculpt a mug, jewelry bowl or two candle holders. AND you get to paint your own creation during the workshop.

If you’re looking for a private workshop/event, we can customize a workshop to your desire.
In the past, we’ve worked on a shared theme or a common goal, such as making the same object, for example ‘an office mug’. Another idea is for the group to create one or two larger pieces. Whatever you come up with, we can try to make it happen!
Our standard workshop space can host 20 people, but we can always add more tables and seats! Prices vary depending on your request and the number of participants in the workshop.

We have two types of workshops you can choose from:
SCULPTING WORKSHOP
During this workshop, you will be introduced to clay modeling. You can create items such as cups, bowls, dishes, candle holders, or multifunctional objects, which we will later glaze and fire for you.
CLAY & GLAZE WORKSHOP
During this workshop, you will be introduced to clay modeling AND the glazing of your creations. The first part of the workshop will consist of sculpting your desired item, such as a mug, bowl, plate, candle holder, or multifunctional object. The second part of the workshop will be dedicated to glazing (=painting) your pieces.

Yes! Though, we primarily teach in Dutch, as most of our customers are Dutch-speaking.
Nonetheless the both of us are fluent in English, and can guide you in your preferred language. We do ask English speaking customers to let us know in advance so we can inform and check with the rest of the group.

If you’re looking for a private workshop/event, we recommend e-mailing us. No, we do not! Het Keramisch Huis only hosts handbuilding and glazing workshops/events.

4-6 weeks.
Your pieces will first dry for at least two weeks. After that, we try to group as much pieces as possible to run a full kiln as we aim to minimise energy wastage.
As soon as your pieces are ready for pick-up, we will send you an email and arrange a pick-up time together.

No, we don’t offer a shipping/delivery service. Pieces made during one of our workshops can only be picked up —after 4-6 weeks — in our studio. You will receive an email once your pieces are ready for pick-up.
